vs. South Bristol Central A - Sat 23rd September 2006
On a nice flat pitch
at Fry’s suitable for some nice football that should match the
play of Bradley Stoke so far this season, the away team came
out in good spirits. And it turned out to be a very one sided
affair, but also one of the most unmemorable games ever!
First half:
Liam Dixon had the first goal from a scrappy flick on by Andy
Forshaw from a deep throw in by Ben Osborne.
Paul Skipp found himself in front of goal, but only managed
to blast over the bar, however he made amends for this just
moments later. Kev Gray played the ball down the line to James
Bowman who moved it infield to Skipp who scored from just outside
the box for Bradley Stoke’s second.
Andy Forshaw finished a breakaway to bag the third of the match
ready for half-time, assist coming from Dixon.
Second half:
The second half was
marginally better than the first half, probably aided by the
fact that the opposition looked like they wanted to play for
a few moments.
Andy Forshaw opened
the scoring for the second half following an assist from Liam
Dixon.
Mark H from a cross ball supplied by Ozzy, beating the defender
to the ball courtesy of a sliding right foot shot into the bottom
left corner of the goal.
Andy Forshaw’s third came near the end of this boring game,
courtesy of a through ball supplied by Skipp. Forshaw slotted
the ball home calmly into the bottom right corner of the goal.
Final score: 6-0
Against the opposition’s best/only player, Kevin Gray received
man-of-the-match for this game, finding himself able to move
forward into acres of space, whilst containing any forward moves
down the left...very calm on the ball.
